Establishment of Ahnse Law Offices

Founded by Attorneys Sungwhan Lee, Youngchul Kim, and Euichan Jung, in partnership with U.S. Attorney Hye Jung Lee, Ahnse Law Offices was established as a full-service legal firm specializing in both domestic and international legal matters.

2003-2007

Former Women’s Committee Chair Attorney Giwon Kang, U.S. Attorneys Harold Shim and Sean Hayes joined the firm, further strengthening its capabilities in diverse legal fields.

Successfully handled cases for prominent clients, including Hynix, Dongkook Pharmaceutical, Seongbuk District Office, Kookmin University, and the Korean Dental Hygienists Association.

Provided legal counsel in Korea for leading global companies such as Fidelity, Santa Fe, RMI, Expedia, and Saint-Gobain Korea.

2008-2012

Welcomed Senior Advisors Siwoo Kim and Myungwoong Lee to the team. Transitioned to Ahnse LLC, enhancing the firm's organizational structure to better serve clients.

Represented over 30 companies in the derivative product KIKO disputes, successfully handling litigation exceeding 100 billion KRW. Provided legal services for notable clients such as Yuraco Corporation, Pungin Trading, IBK Bank, the Ministry of Land, Transport and Maritime Affairs, the Korea Construction Association, the Korea Rail Network Authority, Jeju International Convention Center, Dankook University, and Gwangjang Architects.

Advised international corporations including Monsanto, Atlas Copco Korea, Dakehuji, INess Display, Expedia, Takefuji, Jabil Circuit Inc., Whirlpool, and the Polish Embassy.

2013-2017

Welcomed UK Attorney Mark Benton to the firm and established the Pyeongtaek Branch Office of Anse Law Firm. Relocated the main office to the 5th floor of Donghwa Building, 106 Seosomun-ro, Jung-gu, Seoul.

Successfully handled cases for a diverse range of clients, including Busan IBK Savings Bank, Sedong, Pungin Trading, the Foundation for Broadcast Culture, Korea Water Resources Corporation, Solomon Savings Bank, the National Agricultural Cooperative Federation (Nonghyup), Korea Southern Power Co., Korea Land and Housing Corporation (LH), the Ministry of Education, STX Corporation, the European Chamber of Commerce in Korea, and T3 Entertainment.

Provided legal counsel to global companies such as Jabil Korea, Max Mara, IFT, ATTI International, and Fagioli.

2018-2022

Welcomed Attorneys Soohyeong Lee, Hyunghwa Lee, and Byunghak Lee to the team. Relocated the main office to the 5th floor of Hansan Building, 115 Seosomun-ro, Jung-gu, Seoul.
